All aloft–including the prey… 

This is the only one in this series where there is no ground–all the wings are spread. This is also the first time I painted a bumblebee, the target of the bee-eater. My delight in rendering this insect lead to another painting devoted to them, The Swarm.

This original painting is currently available for purchase. It is framed in a thin-line, metal float frame that can be easily inserted into a more ornate frame, as desired.
