I joined Tiffany & Co. in the autumn of 1988 as the display designer/artist for the new prototype mall store at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. I also was drafted to sometimes do the display work and special events at the tiny vintage Beverly Hills store and the subsequent Rodeo 1 full-sized store.
While I often borrowed other artists’ work for the window displays, I created the artwork for recurring holidays and themes, like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Back-to-School/Labor Day, Fourth of July, and, especially, Valentine’s Day and Christmas. I had seven windows. Each thumbnail below is just one of a series.
