A new beginning…
This was my first test of printing an image and including it in my obverse technique. Because the adhering medium would be used on the PETG(plastic), the printing medium had to be porous enough to allow the solvent to evaporate. That printing medium was tissue paper–tracing paper was too solid, and would create a second “skin” that sealed in the solvent.
The printed feather became full bird wings in further works. In this painting, it becomes a writing quill, a mythic symbol of Creation or of the knowledge conveyed by the apple in the hand of the man.
