I counted them so you don’t have to…

I use a special nail polish which has shards of holographic tinsel that flash different colors, depending on the angle of the light. I think of this as a simulation of the motion and refraction of dragon-fly wings–an abstraction of movement, if you will. This painting is the largest and latest of my dragonfly paintings.

It is framed in a thin, metal float frame which can be easily inserted into a more elaborate frame if desired.
